Jan 30, 2004 · I don't know whether what I am seeing is peculiar to the Sony IDTV or is common to all sets. I am using a Nextwave STB, but it is the same with the Sony tuner. When FTA digtal broadcasts 4:3 programming, the picture on my set is considerably wider than the normal 4:3 picture, closer to 14:9.
