Oct 2, 2024 · Snowy and Little are the same size. Both have dark legs and yellow feet. (Snowy perhaps brighter) both can be hard to see when covered in mud. Great White Egret is much larger, but has a yellow bill and dark feet. You would really need to see a shaggy nape, not with 2 plumes like Little, and extremely bright yellow facial markings.

Jun 26, 2008 · Without a photo I can not be specific, but you might check out the white morph of the Great Blue Heron or the Great Egret. Snowy Egret is smaller, but without seeing the birds side by side it can also apear to be as large as a Great Egret. Good birding.
