Off the top of my head, I can think of seeing this regularly on Kayak and Orbitz – a good fare isn't really available once you start clicking through to purchase. It wastes a lot of time and, obviously, isn't all that helpful for purchasing IMHO.

I have also noticed though that some ticket sellers listed in SkyScanner offer to "protect" you - that is, if your first flight is late and you miss the second one, they would be responsible for getting you on a later flight. I assume that would apply even with a change in airports.

Apr 9, 2022 · I've used Skyscanner in the past and it's been fine. People warn against booking through such sites, because it's easier to deal with a problem, if one arises, if you've booked directly with the airline. But that doesn't mean that the site is bad or a scam.

If your flights are cancelled, delayed or anything else happens to a flight that you buy via a 3rd party, you must be able to reach someone at the 3rd party, not the airline to resolve the prob

Feb 24, 2025 · The risk in using Skyscanner or Google Flights to shop for fares is that they always show the lowest available economy fare [when you specify economy] which is usually basic economy/economy lite, with typically no checked bag, no seat selection, and not changeable. Plus the lowest fares they offer may be from vendors of questionable integrity.
