Apr 18, 2023 · For carry, the Shield 45 reigns supreme over them all. Period. Until Glock gives us a G36X with a longer grip and more rounds (G36/G30S Barrel and slide staying the same of course) nothing Glock has competes with the Shield 45 for size vs capacity vs recoil and shootability. I say this with total confidence, even as a Glock fanboy.

Aug 11, 2017 · Yes, the .45 recoil might be less than a standard .40. My FS .40 ( non ported ) is "snappy". My PC .40 is noticeably milder in the recoil department than my .45 Shield was. The trigger on newer 9mm's like mine is the same as the .45, no better, no worse. But neither the 9mm or .45 has near as good of a trigger as the PC model.

Jan 6, 2018 · For me, the 45 Shield is kind of a non-starter. I have a 9mm Shield and I've found that I absolutely hate the M&P hinged triggers. I'll throw out another option for you though. Nothing against the G36 at all, but if you don't mind DA/SA, my next gun purchase is going to be the Springfield XDe 45.

Jan 19, 2019 · I had a .45 Shield that had a FTF on the second round out of the magazine i.e., the round on the top of the magazine fed OK, the second would "nose down" with the slide retracted. Retracting the slide furthur, and letting it slam into battery would clear the malfunction.
