Nov 5, 2014 · If a Michael Price or Samuel Bell knife can be considered a Bowie knife then this could also with the right hilt. The absence of a ricasso fits the normal mold for a 19th century Bowie. The blade profile would be considered out-of-the-norm but the terminology has become so generic that who am I to say.

Knife sheaths are normally very different from contemporary seax sheaths. It's dated first half of the 8th century, so that may be a little early for a broken back style seax.
