Mar 28, 2011 · Since your Scion has a small engine it must turn higher RPMs to produce an acceptable amount of power, so the engineers gave it short gearing to keep the RPM’s the engine’s optimal operating range. 3200 RPM is perfectly normal for a small 1.5 liter engine at highway speeds.

Feb 3, 2014 · The engine is: 2.4L 4 cylinder (2AZ-FE, no turbo charger, wife’s car) page 260 and engine lubrication 4.5 qt with filter change (page 261). Page 238 shows a diagram for checking the oil level dipstick. Clearly marked above the “top” dipstick mark is a label stating “too full.” 4.5 qts places the oil level above the top mark by 1/2 qt.

Jun 26, 2015 · Owners manual is somewhat vague. It says u can use 5-20 oil. there might be words that say adding 5-20 is ok. Manual says check oil level, add oil if low. Use approved 0-20 oil but 5-20 is ok. 1 qt? 2 qts? 5 qts?
