Jan 4, 2020 · My 11k has overwhelming SNR levels even on Ha, and it can handle small amounts of flexure on the focuser at F4.5. And it can be bought second hand for about 2000-2500 with filter wheel. I'm a bit lost here, since I'm a dinosaur .

Feb 26, 2010 · On the other hand I much prefer SBIG's shutter as it allows me to do bright t shirt flats with .003" exposures. FLI's shutter so favors the center you need about 3" exposures to get good flats, or do on my friends FLI camera (not the 11K however).

QHY8 now or SBIG 11K later? - Cloudy Nights
Apr 1, 2009 · Would love a STL11K (who wouldn't?) but it's unrealistic for my budget. My goal is to do narrowband imaging (urban location), and therefore a mono CCD is optimal. I'm strongly considering the QHY9. It also uses the KAF8300 and at USD$2600 + $500 for the filter wheel it comes in considerably cheaper than the QSI 583.
