These, were available to and used by scads of gunmakers from the end of WWII until the mid-late 1960s and many very fine and often quite inexpensive hunting rifles were built on them, Sako was one such marque.

Nov 28, 2023 · I have that same exact SAKO in 300 Win Mag. Classic and so well made. My father shot a .75" group with it at 200 yds which I still have his target posted in gun safe. He said it was his best shooting ever and from such a carbine certainly was a great event to witness.
