Jun 13, 2021 · Just came into a Sako AV in 25-06. I am a big fan of the 25-06, and thought a Sako in the caliber would be a nice combination. This is my first AV, and I am quite impressed with the rifle. I really like the stock design over the earlier L61R rifles.

AV's are some of Sako's best rifles, almost as good as L57's or L61's, and IMO a step above 75's and especially the 85's. Beautiful rifles, well made,and generally very accurate. The only drawback is that they are a little heavy, although for the weight they carry pretty well.

Dec 28, 2024 · I have a Sako AV that started life as a 30-06 and I had rebored by JES to 9.3x62. It shoots clover leaves at 100 yards with 286 grains bullets. These are fantastic rifles.
