Dec 26, 2023 · I recently got a sako a1 .222 having wanted one for some time. I have to say I was expecting better accuracy having heard the multiple reports of easy to load for and super accurate. These are two 10 shot groups off a bag on my car bonnet at 100m it was a little blustery but nothing terrible.

Expected accuracy in L461/A1 - Sako Collectors Club Discussion …
Mar 20, 2009 · It would be rare to come across a 222 that didn't shoot under an inch at 100. Some will do much better. Most of that is more dependant on your trigger-pulling ability and loads. The really expensive Sakos you see are usually either near mint condition, limited production (Deluxe, etc), unusual caliber, or a combination thereof.

Dec 9, 2013 · That's right up there with a Golden Bear, a 222 Mag Mannlicher, a L46 in Bee, 32-20 or 7mm Sako. The belted mag carbines with 20" barrels were kinda weird, all but the 375 were impractical. Hey shrap, have two 222 Mag HB's in the safe.....ain't sellin tho!!!

My real accuracy load is the same with Nosler 50gr BT’s. I have also used Benchmark with 53gr SMK’s for wild dogs and this rifle shoots so well it really is remarkable.
Sako A1 222 - NZ Hunting and Shooting
Despite people saying all Sako 222's shoot one hole like a laser with anything....it's BS. I've had a few A1's in 222 and they were all fussy little shits. Find the projectile that works for you and stick to it.
