Oct 20, 2013 · The best place for Sako information is on Sako Collectors .com, or the gentleman that owns Sakosource.com. He has forgotten more about Sakos' Than most people know. The triggers on the Finnbears are really nice compared to most factory triggers. The old Sako rifles were really well made rifles, and the ones I've seen and have are accurate.

May 28, 2011 · My L461 in 222 has a magazine box length of just over 2.260", which is the max length for the 204 Ruger. Maybe you could source a 222 Magnum magazine box, they are longer from memory, but I don't recall what the exact dimensions were, it's been a while since I played with a Sako in 222 Magnum. Feb 21, 2010 · Just picked this up, a mint early 1972 Sako L461 .222 VIXEN with a vintage 10X40 scope and sling. Took it out with the few rounds of ammo that came with it...she is a keeper.

Feb 20, 2017 · On my 700 BDL sporter in .222 ,I have a straight 12 X Leupold , with a reticle change to a 1/8th dot, and then some times I change to a 30X Leupold also with a 1/8 dot. Just for fun!!! I love this little rifle for just relaxed target shooting.

Nov 6, 2024 · Today I run a 222 Rem in a Sako L461 'Vixen'. Brass is hard to source, way pricier than it should be, but lasts many firings. If I understand you correctly, a 6mm-222/223 will be a nice wildcat, but just be aware that brass is getting harder to source. I also have another Sako L46 'Vixen' in 222 Rem Mag, haven't seen that brass listed for 10 ...
