Jul 29, 2023 · I picked up a SAKO L579 with Forster on the barrel in 22 250. It was an impulse purchase. You know the type. I walked into a gun store for some reloading stuff and this rifle was on the wall calling my name. Its a sporter with the brouwn stock that is not that beautiful but seems correct for that model and vintage. Serial # is 11,3XX.

Apr 17, 2013 · My original 22-250 Forester was easily my favorite rifle. Even though it shot 1/2" groups I had better shooting rifles but the Sako was the rifle I grabbed when I went hunting. I've had people argue with me over this but I hunted with a Forester 243 for a few years and then traded it in for the 22-250.

Stamped on the receiver is- SAKO 22-50 AII 370115 The barrel is a GR Douglas XX 22-250 (stamped on top) ---- 115 1 90 H (stamped on bottom). The buttplate is stamped FAJEN..... so I believe is is a Fajen Stock. Does the GR Douglas barrel and Fajen stock reduce the value of this gun?
