Through providing training and access to knowledge and technology in agriculture and allied fields, KVKs help rural communities increase productivity and improve their livelihoods. We have seven major disciplines – Crop production, Plant protection, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Home Science and Sericulture.

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is all about empowering rural people and fostering a scientific mindset. Through providing training and access to knowledge and technology in agriculture and allied fields, KVKs help rural communities increase productivity and improve their livelihoods.

SAIRD has trained thousands of agricultural technicians in specialized fields, and in 1983, the organization submitted a proposal to the Indian government to establish a Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) to help bring about a technological revolution in agriculture.
