SVS SB12-NSD Subwoofer Review - AVForums
Jun 24, 2011 · Turning to the SB12/NSD itself, there are two finish options, culled from the Henry Ford colour selector. Your choice is black, be it matt or gloss, the latter attracting a £45 premium. Gloss, rather than Piano Black is accurate, because whilst the gloss is mirror flat and flawless, it's not eight coats of piano lacquer deep and so £45 is a ...

Just got my SVS SB12-NSD sub today, my thoughts so far... - AVS …
Mar 13, 2012 · But if you have a small room, I think you will be pleased with the SB12-NSD. For the money, I feel that its a good value. So far its shown that it has the firepower to move good low end. I have a good feeling that movies will translate just as well. Something about the sealed sub sound, the clean tightness in particular, really satisfies my ear.
SB-1000 vs. SB12-NSD - AVS Forum
Jun 4, 2013 · This is what we call a small room The difference between the SB-1000 and SB12-NSD is mostly output so the main driver in your decision should be how loud you listen to your music and movies. Used B&W PV1D vs New SVS SB12-NSD - AVForums
Feb 24, 2019 · The SB12-NSD ended up performing better in movies, maybe because of the better placement I was able to achieve. And it's better also for music (although now with the Silver 8s I decided to turn off the sub for 2.0 music - but I still use it in "party mode" aka "multich stereo" to rock the house down - with electronic / synth music, it's a bomb!!!).

When I think about subwoofers I always say more is better and that there is a gain/volume knob on them for a reason. I don't see how the SB12-NSD or the SB2000 can be too much when all I would need to do is just turn the volume down to the level I want.

Mar 15, 2017 · Yes, this is an old thread. I'm in the OP's situation right now, except I'm deciding between the SB1000 (not the PB1000) and the SVS SB12 NSD. The SB12 is now widely available for $399 (I think it was going for $600+ a year ago) and the SB1000 is $499. At this price, I'm assuming the SB12 is definitely the one to get.
