Neos isn’t strong by Rush standards but dark magician is a legend, so…. Also, Flamewingman’s effect seems really good in a rush duel. I don’t know how much things have changed in the physical game compared to the switch game and duel links, but even the vanillas are strong here compared to those.

Mar 28, 2023 · Considering the Switch Rush Duel game didn't receive the same updates the Japanese one did, that's not a good sign either. So effectively, TCG gets Speed Duels and OCG gets Rush Duels. There's some datamining about Rush Duels being added to Duel Links, so we'll see if that changes anything for the TCG's perception of the format.

Jan 1, 2022 · After playing Speed through Duel Links (from late DM era to early 5D's), and Rush through fan sims (since October 2020), I gotta say I love Rush more. As for the reasons: You refill your hand at the start of your turn, which means there's always a chance for comeback.

Oct 29, 2021 · Links/Pends wouldn't even really work in Rush Duels, though. I guess if they added an Extra Monster Zone, then Links might, but since you can normal summon as much as you want, Pends would be completely pointless and unlikely to be introduced.

The anime failed to get any real traction. The people interested in Rush Duel are a small subsection of the people who already play Yugioh (and are, therefore, in Konami's pocket). If Sevens had even a fraction of the mainstream appeal and potential to bring young kids into Yugioh, they'd be bending over backwards to release it in the US

Dec 11, 2021 · Imo if Rush duel continues to see support, it could eventually surpass the TCG. Its core rules and playstyle are fantastic evolutions on the YGO formula.

Oct 21, 2023 · Rush Duels are heavily decided by deck building, you need to have the good ratios of cards you need so you can consistently tribute summon monsters every turn and not brick at the same time, however even if you have the perfect ratios you will brick once in a while (that's just bad luck, it happens in every yugioh format).
