Apr 13, 2019 · You can use M&P magazines in the PC Carbine with the Ruger SR9 magazine well by drilling a small hole in the front of the magazine body at the same distance below the lips as the notch in the SR magazines. Do a Google search for "Using M&P Magazines in the Ruger PC Carbine" and you will find several how-to instructions.

Dec 27, 2013 · So I was told that Ruger SR series pistols share the same magazine baseplates as the Smith and Wesson M&P series. Does anyone own both and can check? I am particularly wondering about the 17 round 9mm magazines they use. I am asking because magazine extensions do not exist for the SR series of pistols, but seemingly abound for the M&P series.

Dec 11, 2008 · Both handguns warrant consideration and will do "the job". My preferance is for the M&P, a 9mm Compact, due to the trigger and the interchangable backstraps. With 6,000 rounds flawlessly digested, it is accurate and a very easy carry. My early, pre recall, SR9 does yeoman duty and represents significant improvements in the Ruger pistol line, IMO.
