Nov 26, 2015 · Unlike the Rega, the VPI can rise above its already great performance with dead accurate speed contol(SDS/Phoenix) options and others to take it to another level. Id be interested in seeing an RP10 with a Phoenix tach to see the speed accuracy. Also the VPI has arm adjustment parameters to take advantage of a super cart which Rega arguably doesn't.
Rega RP10 VTA shims - Audiogon Discussion Forum
Mar 29, 2014 · Let's say 17.4mm. I believe that the Rega cartridges are 14mm high, and Rega's tonearms and shims are designed accordingly. IOW, you probably need to bring the base of the Rega tonearm up by 3.4mm to make the Kleos level. If Rega cannot provide a custom shim for you, I would bring one of your shims to a machine shop.
What record weight for Rega RP10 - Audiogon Discussion Forum
Sep 18, 2023 · What record weight for Rega RP10 I have the RP10 and not sure whether the bearing on this table is even designed to work with or can accept the load of a record weight. I have a the ClearAudio clamp but can hear no discernible advantage with it, plus I am concerned about applying pressure to the bearing when using it.

Feb 8, 2020 · Where I am the 17Dx and Rega Apheta 3 are the same price and the Delos is cheaper than both. The 17D3 used to undercut the Delos but the change to the brass bodied Dx came with a hefty price increase. The Rega will have a good chance of correct VTA on a Rega deck, you’ll have to shim the others if they need adjustment.
Mat for Rega P10 - Audiogon Discussion Forum
Jul 10, 2020 · I've been using a white leather mat that sounds great but it lifts off the platter occasionally. I hope the Washi sheet solves the lifting off issue and sounds as good as my leather mat. I upgraded to the P10/Apheta 3 in February 2020 from a Rega RP10/Apheta 2 that I owned for 4 years and I'm really pleased with the improved performance.

Aug 22, 2021 · I've had my P10 for about 1-1/2 years but I've never compared it A to B in the same system with the LP12. Before the P10, I had the Rega RP10/Apheta 2 for 4 years. In my opinion, the P10/Apheta 3 is clearly better than the RP10/Apheta 2. If I were starting from scratch and buying a new TT for either system, I would buy the P10/Apheta 3.

Sep 8, 2023 · The Rega’s halfway position is even marked for you. The Rega has the look of elegant minimalism while the Conqueror has a higher tech, busier and pricey appearance, yet both tonearms look as if they belong on the RP10 plinth. The Rega has the simpler and easier to use tonearm rest.

Apr 5, 2025 · Rega RP10 with a Dynavector XX-2 cart . The Rega’s been good to me, but I’ve never fully loved it. It just feels a bit light and fragile —both in physical build and in the way it presents music. I’m looking for something that feels more grounded, stable, and confident. Obviously I’m also looking for something that would complement the ...

Dec 15, 2017 · Its arm is the weak link, but its better than the Rega am. which is even more of a weak link on the Rega IMO/IME. The Technics arm is far more adjustable. Its possible to replace the arm with other arms, we've installed a Triplanar 12" on it with fabulous results.
