Nov 22, 2023 · Also, make sure the cable coming from the 10gig port is in the red ont port on the router [probably the top port on the router]. Hopefully, that's the case since when I moved my frontier equipment, I didn't realize which port to plug into on the ont.

Jul 1, 2018 · The globe on the router that is normally white has turned red, so I assume that has something to do with it. I’ve tried unplugging it, restarting it, unplugging the ONT box, etc. Anyone know why this is happening and/or how to fix it?

Apr 16, 2021 · Red globe means no internet connection from the ONT. The ONT takes incoming fiber and converts it to Ethernet and/or coax depending on what services you have. Newer ONT’s (speeds above 75mbps) feeds your router with Ethernet and not coax.

Jul 1, 2021 · I then followed the ASUS quick setup again, setup as Router Mode and entered the respective PPPoE details. I then logged into my Plusnet router and enabled bridge mode. By connecting from the LAN port of the ISP modem to the WAN port of the ASUS RT-AX86U, again the red light is gone and I have connectivity (while ISP modem is now bridging).
