Nov 26, 2022 · I’m struggling with RealVNC server enterprise installation on a new EC2 instance with Red Hat 9 AMI. My main goal: Allow multiple domain users to connect to the machine using RealVNC viewer. Actions that were taken:

I'm aware TigerVNC has some compatability issues with RealVNC which is why I removed TigerVNC in the first place. I also cannot uninstall RealVNC using (rpm -e realvnc-vnc-server realvnc-vnc-viewer) nor install it again using the same method as before (could the command the RealVNC guide be incorrect for my installation?).

Jan 4, 2021 · I had been using RealVNC to get into my CentOS VMs from my MBP-laptop, my Win/10-PC, my colleague's computer in the other building, etc. As the CentOS VMs will be hanging around for quite sometime, I'd rather continuing to use RealVNC and not have to put new software (have two VNCViewers) on all my Outer Machines.

Mar 18, 2010 · (RealVNC's Free version doesn't support Vista/7) But which is better? TightVNC claims good compression, and it has a Linux client to support that. UltraVNC offers a chat functionality, which could be useful, but there's no Linux client, so presumably when accessing from Linux (using another client) I'd get only basic functionality.

(Note- I am using RealVNC, not the vnc that comes with Fedora) I am just trying to start my vnc server when the computer boots.
