Generally, you should start rat runs when you are already 800 paragon or close. Playstyle. Devour on autocast. You run after znec. Spawn mages when you have full essence. Spawn mages on top of elites (best way to target them). Curse every enemy (helps with survivability). Use Simulacrum when you're near elites, if you can.

Skeletal Mage gains the effect of the Gift of Death rune. Simulacrum now drains 5% of your maximum life every second and lasts twice as long. Devour restores an additional Essence and Life. In addition, when Devour restores Essence or Life above your maximum, the excess is granted over 3 seconds.
