May 21, 2023 · For many it might sound crazy, but if Nvidia was facing more competition when the RTX 20 launched, it's likely the 2070 would have had a ~$375 MSRP along with the 3070 and 4070. Nvidia is the perfect case study why you never want one asshole dominating in mindshare.

The thing is that all of NVIDIA's previous cards numbered xx40 and below have been seen as glorified graphics adapters, so calling it a 3040 would completely torpedo their messaging right off the bat.

Feb 3, 2024 · The mobile rtx 3050 6gb can use upto 95w, so TDP isn't a major issue. Its performance seems to be between the desktop gtx 1660 to 1660 super. So it should be within 10-15% of the desktop rtx 3050 8gb since the 3050ti 4gb (has same specs as desktop 3050, except half vram) is already within 10% of the desktop 3050 and isn't really power limited ...

Dec 25, 2022 · I'm using madVR as a renderer in PotPlayer and all I want is the best possible quality for movies in 4k, sometimes just 1080p. My PC specs - RTX 3070, i9 12900K, display supports Dolby Vision (don't think any player can display it though). Would appreciate your help.

Jan 15, 2024 · Not consumer options but the A2000 12GB and RTX 4000 sff 20GB meet that criteria. I've seen quite a few A2000 builds due to miners dumping them, it's a great little card but still has a hefty price premium to the point where it's not a logical choice (how many SFF builds are though, speaking from experience).

Nvidia once again releasing a card with the same name but cut down specs. This should have been called the RTX 3040. Imagine an uninformed buyer looks up how good an RTX 3050 is, and decides to buy it satisfied with how it will perform. Then they end up with the slower RTX 3050 without realizing that it isn't the same product.
