The problem is on the R4 site the firmware you can download only works with newer card you need to buy from them. So if you are like me and you still have an old card.

The dongle just makes it so that you can boot up your switch without a pc. If you have an android phone, you can do the same thing without a dongle. New patched switches / mariko units dont use a dongle.
