Regnans in Excelsis ("Reigning on High") is a papal bull that Pope Pius V issued on 25 February 1570.

In February 1570, Pope Pius V declared that Elizabeth was a heretic close heretic Someone whose beliefs challenged the Catholic Church.

'Regnans in Excelsis' is a papal bull issued by Pope Pius V in 1570 that excommunicated Queen Elizabeth I of England and declared her subjects' allegiance to her as invalid.
