May 18, 2023 · Here's my build, shown in the adapter that installs in the rackmount unit when you're not using it for a NUC Slim: I'm using the official PoE+ hat, which if you can supply 802.11at power to it, feeds 25+ watts to the Pi. A CSI-2 board is mounted upside down in between the RPi and the PoE+ hat.

After some research, I decided to move away from the PiKVM hat and do a DIY-style build using the official Raspberry Pi PoE+ hat, a CSI-2 to HDMI module, and a few other miscellaneous pieces and parts.

Feb 3, 2021 · does the v4 have PoE? No, from what I read on this thread on reddit, pikvm v4 does not have PoE. Pretty much the only reason I didn't pull the trigger and buy it (I absolutely love the new design of the PiKVM v4 mini otherwise).

Aug 21, 2021 · I a hoping to power my PiKVM over POE to save a plug on my PDU. I've noticed that as long as I plug in the ethernet adapter first, it seems to draw power from that and be stable, but if I plug in the USB-C cable first for OTG, I get undervolt warnings.
