Jan 22, 2020 · A patch panel is use to to connect multi fiber cable, say 6 or 12 count, to a jumper that goes to you switch. Between your equipment cabinets, you can run jumper cable (think zip cord), they can be ordered preterminated which is what I recommend. The jumper cable is pretty tough, but it may be best to run in 1" emt or orange smurf tube.

I've seen KO reducers and I've seen some "fine metal work" that would make Boyd Coddington proud - but really, is there any thing that is written that covers "do's" and "don'ts"? I've seen 4" or 4/11 covers bolted down and re-punched - so I've seen a few derivations.

Dec 3, 2009 · [Assuming the same stud bay,] attach your connector - without the lock ring - to the end of the wire and fish it in thru the hole and into your panel. Attach lock ring. Use an old work box. You don't have to worry about attaching to studs since this is old work. Drywall isn't that hard to patch. ~Peter

Who ever installed the inside panel ran all the conductors into the box right thru the knockout holes with out installing and connector clamps. I can use the plastic remodeling bushings than push thru from the inside of the box .
