The Panzerkampfwagen 38 (t), originally known as the Českomoravská Kolben-Daněk (ČKD) LT vz. 38, was a tank designed during the 1930s, which saw extensive service during World War II. [3] . Developed in Czechoslovakia by ČKD, the type was adopted by Nazi Germany following the German occupation of Czechoslovakia. [3] .

The Aufklärungspanzer 38 (t) was developed as a primary reconnaissance vehicle to replace both these kinds of vehicles.

The Panzer 38(t) was a German light tank of WW2 manufactured in occupied Czech Republic, at Skoda works. It was filling Panzerdvisions from the campaign of Poland to Operations Barabrossa in the summer of 1941 but after 1943 was hopelesely outmatched Skoda started to produce the Hezter tank hunter on its chassis.

The Czech-designed Panzer 38(t) saw extensive service with the German Army during WWII. The chassis was also used in other vehicles, including self-propelled assault and antitank guns. The new 9.5-ton tank was fitted with a Skoda turret armed with an A7 37.2mm (47.8-caliber) gun.

Aug 19, 2009 · The early model TNH tanks were fitted with smaller turrets than the model later to become famous as the Panzer 38(t). In 1937 the Czech army decided it would not order further LT vz.35 from Skoda and opened testing for new prototypes.
