Sep 21, 2020 · VR displays have been OLED aside from a few recent exceptions, and they didn't exhibit any of the Vita's display issues (except maybe black smearing, although that's typically very slight). This while achieving much higher than 60 Hz refresh rate.

OLED Mura and other aspects just solidified my decision to gift my OG Vita and keep the Vita Slim. If you find a OLED Vita for cheap, pick it up. If you see a slim for a decent price, pick it up. If you find both an OLED and a slim for around the same price, I'd go for the slim, but that's just me.

Sep 28, 2021 · The blacks on the OLED are not remotely close to the inky blacks found on modern day OLEDs, still way better than the LCD screen on the 2000 models. There is a decent change in brightness on mine, but it doesn't dim as dark as my modern OLED phone/tablet can and doesn't dim as dark as the 2000 can.

Following my recent research regarding the strange battery behavior on this specific model of Japan OLED Vita that only charges to 4.05v (IRS-1001 board), I wonder how can the battery is fully charged to a lower percentage (only about 83% full), but still achieve the same battery life (or sometimes even longer) than the other PSVita OLED that uses the standard IRS ...

Jan 23, 2018 · Swapping out for another oled screen will probably result in having the same effect, if not later on. Note that the screen of the original fat vita is fused with the whole front casing of the system along with the touch digitizer, so you're better off just replacing the entire front of it instead of finding a way to remove just the screen.

Jun 7, 2023 · Also, I cant help but notice iFixit does not have a OLED Vita screen replacement guide, but only one for the slim. Does this mean the guide works for the OLED as well? Also, Im planning to replace my PS3 Controllers' batteries, analog sticks and trigger buttons and was wondering if the same kit will be sufficient for it?

So I have 2 oled vita’s and none have burn in and my brightness is generally at 85% constant. The Mira effect only happens when the led’s have no power going to them as soon as they receive power they take the color they are meant too. Including perfect black. That is just the nature of the oled

Jul 20, 2021 · The slim model of the VITA has better battery and is more lightweight, it has an LCD screen, which is worse compared to the OLED model. The original launch model, or OLED model, has a OLED screen. It is more colorful , more lively , and can be seen better in the dark.
