Looking for PRBS PN9, PN11 or PN15 bit sequences - Page 1
Aug 13, 2023 · For a Bit Error Rate Test (BERT) i’m looking for PRBS data. Does someone happen to have a bit sequence based on PN9, PN11 and/or PN15 lying around, or a reference to a source where I can find one? So I’m really looking for a series of 0s and 1s (with a length of 511 resp 32,767 bits).
PN Sequence Generation - Keysight
For instance, the polynomial for PN9 is x 9 +x 5 +1, therefore, M=9 and c 9 =1, c 5 =1, c i∈{1~9},and i≠9,i≠5 =0 The PN sequence, { a n }, 0 ≤ n < 2 M , is generated by the equation below.
Thus, the PN9 generator contains ‘111111111’ when the first byte is processed, while the PN9 generator state during the second byte of data is not ‘011111111’ (the next PN9 value), but instead ‘111100111’ (the ninth PN9 value).

Specify a seed in decimal format to generate a PN9 data sequence. The LSB of the seed comes out first. For example, if you enter a seed value of 10 (1010 in binary), the first 9 bits of the PN9 sequence are 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0, with an increasing index from left to right.

This section enables you to configure the payload data source, the MAC header, set the length and type of payload data, and choose to have an FCS added to the packet. 1. Capability. 2. Carrier Basic. 3. Coding and Modulation. 5. Spectrum Control.

You can choose PRBS from PN9, PN11, PN15, PN20, PN23, PN31. PN9, PN11, PN23 are based on O.153, PN15, PN20 are based on O.151. You can deliberately insert an error.
PRBS signals are defined by their length: PN9 is a 511-bit (29–1) sequence, and similarly, PN15 is a 32,767-bit (215–1) sequence. PRBSs are unique because a 9- or 15-bit sequence never repeats during the entire corresponding 511 or 32,767-bit sequence.

A PN data sequence is generated using a linear feedback shift-register circuit, as illustrated below. M is the number of shift registers (PN9, PN15, PN23). D(M) is the m th shift register corresponding to the initial sequence, and {c1,c2,…,cM} are the coefficients of the polynomial used. At each clock pulse, the data in the registers will ...

Standard PN sequence options are 'PN9', 'PN15', 'PN23', 'PN9-ITU', and 'PN11'. Data source. Specify a standard PN sequence with a random number seed or a custom vector. Include the PilotChannel substructure in the cfg structure to specify the pilot channel.
