Mar 5, 2019 · The slide is worn to the metal in spots and the frame initially had a ZEV Tech grip reduction 8 years ago. The frame is now also beat up as bad as the slide. I was just kicking around the idea of showing the gun some love by replacing all the springs AGAIN, refinishing the slide and replacing the frame, without the need for another grip reduction.

Sep 3, 2024 · Having had experience with SCT, P80, and PSA serialized frames - my opinion is that PSA Dagger is the most refined, and the closest to plug and play that almost works fine out of the box (they typically come complete with the internals installed).

I honestly have no idea why on Earth you utterly destroyed a part of the frame that requires ZERO finishing or modification. The only things required to finish a P80 frame are: Drill pin holes (with precision!) Remove side rail tabs. (Should be SMOOOOOTH)

Jul 25, 2017 · I've decided to do a P80, and I'm looking for parts kit recommendations, or even individual part recommendations if my wants can't be met with a kit. This will be a range toy. Slide stop will be either an extended Glock piece or a Vickers, won't know until I have the frame in hand. Slide catch, don't care.

Nov 14, 2021 · I did a thing! I discovered a nifty new tool to facilitate finishing the P80 frame. Made a video. Took me about 7 hours to put this all together! I must be insane! Hope you find it interesting. It's about 20 minutes long! But, worth watching the process, I think. You could kick up the Youtube playback speed. That's what I do with MGB videos!

Jan 26, 2021 · Question 2, if someone wanted to put that exact same serial number on the P80 frame, what is the best way to do it if Fred has already completed the Frame? Fred would love to use a stamp set to make the serial number look just like the OEM numbers on the barrel and slide, but Fred is worried about banging on the P80 slide with a hammer and stamp.

Oct 9, 2021 · An alternative option would be - P80 and other mfgs do sell serialized lowers. Modifying one of those and selling it could (depending on where you live and how it was modified) greatly simplify things. But taking an un-serialized P80 and finishing it for resell really should be done under an 07 FFL to ensure you don't get a knock on your door.
