Apr 28, 2014 · Ok I had my check engine light come on yesterday. Well it's came on before and went off. But it seems to stay on all the time now. I work at Advance and I just went outside and plugged up the scanner. It said p013b something about oxygen sensor slow to response system too lean. Bank one sensor 2. Its got 160,000 miles on it.

Jan 24, 2023 · Basically, ANY time the voltage (I don't know about supermodern cars with new kinds of O2 sensors which measure amps) in the downstream (after the cat) O2 sensor runs HIGHER (more pollution=less oxygen is the general assumption) than the voltage from the upstream (exhaust manifold) O2 sensor, then the computer throws P0420.
