So you see SCR-274-N installed in P-38's in the USA and SCr-522 installed in P-38's in the ETO and probably the Med as well.

Sep 9, 2019 · Most P-38’s had in common a “V” shaped antenna aerial that connected from near the tops of the two rear vertical stabilizers. That antenna is then connected into the SCR-274 or SCR-522 radio sets behind the pilot and very visible in the rear canopy section.

Feb 6, 2023 · Tamiya didn't include one in the Kit (they did in the P-38J kit). This would indicate she had an SCR-522 Antenna but P-38F's left the Lockheed factory with SCR274N radio's which required an antenna wire to the rear of the ship.
