Apr 8, 2011 · Redpine mapping had the OFSC map on GPS, and were selling it for quite some time before the OFSC took them out as a competitor by making them a partner. Also the OFSC doesn't "control" any trail system, they are simpley the governing body and provincial support put in place by and self governed by all 232 OFSC clubs in Ontario.

Nov 1, 2019 · It's OFSC 's way to promote tourism in the North. Follow the GPS, they're always right. Interesting Denis, while recognizing your comment as tongue in cheek, is that there seem to be very few accomodation places in the northern area featured on the map.

Jan 18, 2025 · That means that unless the riders who have those dash displays plan their route at home on there computer before leaving or have and use the OFSC app on their phones, they will be riding closed trails or trails that are not on the OFSC map due to the MOU issues without realizing it unless it is explained to them. Ain't that wonderful!

From a geography stand point, the OFSC map does offer a good review of Ontario lake names - towns, not so much. There were some pretty good recreational property deals in La Tuque last summer...

Nov 13, 2018 · Thanks for the info, that is a good converter; however, i can convert any data with gpsvisualizer; but the issue is that OFSC maps is not providing the source or the source is not readable. My issue is how to extract data from OFSC map including my trip details and waypoints before converting it into gpx.

Jan 10, 2022 · My main complaint about the ITG/OFSC app is the unexplained lack of a viable background/base map. This is ridiculous. Bombi app seems to have some bugs to work out, but my main complaint about the OFSC offering has been addressed right out of the box.
