Oct 1, 2021 · The main benefit of an external looper (besides of e.g. longer record time) is the possibility to hook it in front or after the fx chain. One really good use of a looper is to use a loop while dialing in a tone. This isn't possible with the MG-30 looper and NUX already said that this may not come with the MG-30 but with the coming flagship product.

With the current Thomann deal the MG-30 is even 224 EUR cheaper!!! In regard of support: I found the support of NUX outstanding so far.

Nov 28, 2022 · I decided to give it a try and buy a Nux MG 30 to play at home and rehearse with the band. Now: I make the sounds at home listening through headphones and some of them are pretty good. Still, when rehearsing with the band and I connect the MG 30 straight to Mixer/PA via 1/4 output jack (in mono) have to say I am disappointed by the results.

Dec 27, 2022 · It is going to sound about the same as MG 30 or Amp Academy. If you are happy with Nux models and effect sounds, then it should work, but you can easily add couple of your pedals that are a MUST for you. I forgot, how does Amp Academy or MG 30 take OD pedals ?

Nov 5, 2022 · I love my MG-30. Loaded with a couple York IRs and I am set for recording and quiet home playing. I haven't tried the valeton so I can't compare the two. The tech is getting so good now I'm sure it sounds good too, but for me you can't go wrong with the NUX.

Nov 18, 2020 · Over the years, I have been running a few preamps with my various amps. From an old Boss GT-8 to my lil' Nux MG-30. How I do it, I don't bother with those "output" options, I always leave on the studio mode and simply bypass the IRs in the multi as you are going into a speaker voiced for guitar and tweak from there.
