Mar 13, 2024 · Nova Vanguard is as generic as you can get, but they’re alright. I would often employ them in great numbers with thermal disintegrators to strip surface elements on big targets. As a player ship, a decent start point for some combaty high jinks.

Mar 3, 2024 · With L ships, it's a tougher call. For the most part personal preference. the plasma weapon on the Nova could not be added to the Raider variant. Sentinel = More Armor therefore slower. Generally more cargo space. Vanguard = Less armor therefore a little faster. Less cargo space in general.

Jun 23, 2008 · I'm about to purchase a Nova Vanguard as a capping ship. Please can you advise me on the best weapons for this? And perhaps any weapon settings you'd advise? (ie, auto turret?!?) I've only really been trading so far, so I've not really involved myself in any combat!

May 19, 2020 · Nova is a really really bad ship to be in, the cockpit is way to small, Its sad that the Elite has so much room inside for a base ship. But personal ship, depends if you have the Split DLC, Split ships are just really good.

Mar 25, 2021 · If you try to use something like the Eclipse or Ares as an interceptor you're going to be disappointed. Ships like the Nova, Falcon and Perseus do much better for me both IS and OOS. It's also why for fighters you should almost always buy the Vanguard version. Or for everything, really.

Oct 22, 2019 · Anyone noticed how good this fighter is at fire fights and AI vs AI dog fights even though it only has two gun slots. Because of the way the ship is designed it able to fight in a weirder way then the others fighters. It able to stop mid fight, spin, and adjust itself really quickly.
