Dec 3, 2009 · The Nissan Z series of automobile engines ranged from 1.8 L to 2.4 L and were produced from 1979 through August 1989. The Z series engines retained a nearly identical block to the earlier L Series with the exception of the Z24 which utilized a taller deck height to increase engine displacement.

Nov 5, 2023 · The Nismo looks much better than the performance Z and the downshift pops sound great. You didn't mention the structural modifications that went into making the Nismo. My understanding is that the Z Nismo really can't be replicated by just aftermarket add-ons.

Oct 29, 2002 · First off, the ZX's started in '79. So the 1975 is a Z not a ZX. The '70 - '78 Z's are what I have heard reffered to as "first generation" Z's. The bodys on these cars are extremely similar, with minor changes. In '79 the car was totally redesigned, and called the 280 ZX. X for luxury, I am told. Lots of bells and whistles.
