Aug 9, 2024 · I have a 1012 maxima S that’s having similar problems. I have no clue what it is. It just started doing the studded thing when in 1st gear going very slow. I quit driving it now. But it would drive just fine usually… every once in a while after longer drives, when I’d stop at a red light, I try to accelerate and nothing happens.

Apr 28, 2009 · Hard to diagnose from here and I don't know if these cars have a NATS system on them (immobilizer), but in the 4th Gen Maxima world (95-99), the NATS was a somewhat common issue.

Jun 3, 2016 · @mikey1951, with Nissan V6 engines I've learned they are crazy notorious for developing dirty MAF sensors and throttle bodies. Starting back with my 00 I30's VQ30DE-K, through my 07 G35 and now the EX, it's become increasingly clear that these engines are far more sensitive than most to changes within the intake system.

Sep 21, 2007 · i have a 2007 maxima se 3.5l. ses light is on. diagnostic code says p1168 closed loop control bank 2. got the o2 sensor from nissan. how in the heck do i get the thing on without breaking my wrist. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jun 8, 2023 · Hi jumping on here late but I just experienced the same issue on my 2016 Maxima Platinum a few days ago left me stranded in over 100 degree heat!🥵 had to get a tow home the battery was changed and it appeared the negative post terminal post was old replaced that car started right up drove it to work and in lunch but car did not start come 5:00 o’clock.

Aug 21, 2005 · *NOTE*The Nissan FSM urges to not lose the "manual valve and servo release accumulator springs. For me, a single spring "fell out" of the transmission upon valve body removal. Upon inspection, there are two "holes". One is deep/empty and the spring obviously belongs in that location. The other has a rubber grommet type thing covering the 'hole'.
