The NSA Cyber Exercise (NCX) is a year-round, education, training and exercise program that culminates in an annual three-day cyber competition that challenges students at the U.S. Service Academies and Senior Military Colleges in near full-spectrum cyber operations.

May 13, 2024 · - After months of preparation and three days of elaborate and challenging cyber operations, the U.S. Military Academy has emerged as the champion of the sixth annual NSA Cyber Exercise (NCX).

The NCX advances strategic cybersecurity goals by developing and testing cybersecurity skills, teamwork, planning, communication, and decision-making of cadets, midshipmen, and Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) students in the U.S. Service Academies and Senior Military Colleges (SMCs).

NSA Cyber Exercise (NCX), which ran from March 19 to 21 at the U.S. Naval Academy, featured 12 teams from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard academies executing cyber defense strategies against simulated attacks against critical infrastructure and defense networks.
