Nov 26, 2017 · Of course Doom was always aware of the attraction between Namor and Susan ever since FF#5 when Doom and Namor first teamed up. I guess he thought putting Susan in this virtual reality device would keep her out of trouble and not attempt to escape his protection.

One interesting anecdote: Reviresco talked to Hickman at the time (you know her from the Namor appreciation thread- my apologies btw : we kinda met there before and I didn't remember!). He said to her iirc tgat Doom was more interesting written as a hero and Namor as a villain.
