May 1, 2019 · I've had my NAD 3300 Integrated Amp since it was new. Other than having drop-outs at low volume due to the troublesome speaker relays (now replaced) it's been a rock solid performer for ~3 decades. A while back I restored some Dynaco MKIII's and given that they are just amps, decided to use the NAD's preamp to drive them.

May 15, 2018 · Those teapot caps, replace them. Nad saved money by using lower cost parts. Plenty of threads on replacing caps. As for the relays what are the part numbers on the relays you need to replace? The SM just has the nad part numbers. There have been replacement relays #s put up depending on the relay used. Like Nad have a 3140.

Feb 24, 2009 · I have a NAD C272 poweramp which I am very happy with. I'm lending it to my father as his Krell KST-100 poweramp is away being fixed. My NAD is driving his Martin Logan Quest Z speakers with great results, this poweramp of NAD has such good tight controled bass. I and my father are tempted to hear NAD's new C275 poweramp!

The difference was remarkable. Vocalists seem to be in the room. The bass seems to roll off more elegantly. And the realism, especially when watching moving is incredible.

Mar 8, 2014 · I purchased a NAD 3300 from EBAY a few years ago...first investment in something better that run of the mill units. To make a long story short...is it worth the time and effort to restore this unit or are there inherent issues with NAD's circuit design. I also have another 3300 as donor unit. Between the two units, my cost in both units is $85.00.

Jun 6, 2018 · Ive narrowed it down to these 2 and maybe the 3300 . Leaning towards the 3400. I read those PE engineers were good and these older ones sounded better. Or did the 326bee have some better sounding features than the multiple similar units? Power is not important. Will use as preamp mostly

Mar 27, 2014 · It seems the NAD 3300 has a crap load of electrolytics and has a history of blowing outputs. Quite a lot of transistors that are out obsolete. Oh,,well, already ordered the parts...the preamp section better sound better than my NAD 1600 preamp. or I'm giving up this hobby and just going to relax and just listen to the music.

Aug 24, 2024 · My NAD 3300 suffered from bad speaker relays and cracked solder joints- a lot of them! Fix the obvious problem with the soft clipping, and give the board a hard look reflowing anything that looks even slightly suspicious. Don’t even try anything else until you do that.
