Aug 26, 2010 · The N64 is relatively low-res compared to modern 3D systems so the RGB mode, where you can see every distinct pixel, is very jaggy. The composite mode acts as a ghetto anti-alias filter. P.S. I bought an s-video cable for my N64 but the signal is incredibly grainy--again the composite mode beats it.
