Nov 10, 2019 · I have a MOTU 624 and some of the possibilities are pretty interesting. The mixer has a pretty powerful EQ. You could easily implement different crossovers for the sub and mains outputs. You could even loop the outputs back to an Aux in the DSP mixer and view the FFT of the combination to see how the HP and LP were mixing.

Jan 9, 2019 · Does Motu provide ASIO drivers or do you use ASIO4all? The drivers should make it available as a multi-channel device for any source to play straight to it as 5.1 or 7.1 LPCM via USB. It can be used in exclusive mode by a source to bypass window processing.

Dec 28, 2018 · MOTU publish the API for controlling their AVB interfaces over the network, so making a custom control interface should be pretty easy (kids at a code club level). Think linking volume on 6 channels of an active crossover for instance. Use this with an ESP32 and a shaft encoder and you can have a wifi remote with an actual volume knob.

May 22, 2020 · I have the MOTU 624. You can't use it for crossovers because there is no way to delay the mains relative to the subwoofer. You don't need to change sources between usb and optical. You can route both through the mixer and then out the same output. That way whichever source is active will automatically be playing.
