If you want a dark blue, almost black, like in the second pic, you will probably need to cross him to a HB female then choose some male offspring that show a dark blue color.

Feb 26, 2020 · Not all males will have a good black cover of black on the blue of their body. The blue and black come from the moscow gene they carry. But they also do carry the pink gene (with the dwarf growth gene connected) which comes from the pingu influence. That's why female panda guppies do look pretty similar to the pingu guppy females.

Maybe a more common type of guppy so you can get to know the fish before you spend a bit of money on a nice strain would be best.
