Bolt & Mini - MOCA & Ethernet setup | TiVo Community Forum
Jan 11, 2017 · A MoCA network can consist of any mix of MoCA 1.1, standard MoCA 2.0 and extended/bonded MoCA 2.0 nodes; many MoCA 1.0 devices will likely bring your MoCA network to its knees, so stick with the later specs. MoCA is a point-to-point technology, and two MoCA nodes will communicate with each other at the highest MoCA spec supported by both nodes.
Combining MoCA and OTA signal Question w/ Diagram
Jul 16, 2015 · A MoCA filter is needed to block the MoCA signals before heading up the antenna coax, and a diplexer would effectively provide the necessary MoCA signal filtering, connected as described above. A separate MoCA filter would be unnecessary since the "VHF/UHF" port on the diplexer, to which the antenna would be connected, wouldn't allow MoCA ...
What could cause MOCA to suddenly fail after 6 years?
Nov 29, 2018 · My MOCA network went out completely. I was originally using my Verizon G1100 moca capable router as the MOCA adapter, which had been good for 6 years now. Then the other day after an electric storm, all my Tivo's, mini's and Bolt, stopped working. I could not get them to connect to Tivo service and none of the mini's could detect a MOCA connection.
some hints on using Motorola MM1000 and MM1025 MoCA …
Jun 6, 2023 · When I use a different access point connected by MoCA (between the two MM1025 adapters) to Ethernet and then to the cable modem I only get about 120 mb/s on Speedtest. Perhaps this is because I still have another Roamio (which is MoCA 1.1) sitting out there on MoCA. This shouldn't matter since MoCA is theoretically point to point.
How to connect Antenna and coaxial cable for Moca? - TiVo …
Jun 21, 2019 · TiVo chose to leave out (remove) the MoCA hardware from the BOLT OTA model; all other BOLT models have built-in MoCA bridging/connectivity. *IF* the BOLT OTA requires a MoCA/coax network connection (because it can't be connected via Ethernet), then you'd need to use a standalone MoCA adapter to make the MoCA connection on the BOLT OTA's behalf.
Setting up a MoCA Network for Tivo | TiVo Community Forum
Mar 4, 2013 · Enabling MoCA in the Home There are three ways to create a MoCA network: Option 1: Connect MoCA-enabled Tivos by ethernet and use the Tivo to establish the MoCA network. Option 2: Connect a MoCA adapter to your router. (Choose this option if running ethernet to your Tivo is not desirable.) Option 3: Use a retail cable modem that has MoCA built-in.
Moca 2.5 - TiVo Community Forum
May 8, 2019 · By the way, I checked the spec sheet, the Moca Soc is MaxLinear MxL3710. Looks like the MxL3710 is the only certified MOCA 2.5 product from mocalliance.org. I wonder if the "Vendor Only" Moca 2.5 Actiontecs are using the same SOC.[/QUOTE] Good question.
MoCA vs Ethernet - TiVo Community Forum
Mar 24, 2017 · The BOLT & BOLT+, 6-tuner Roamio & 4-tuner Premiere DVRs can all connect as Ethernet or MoCA clients, but are all also capable of creating a MoCA network, provided they can connect to both your shared coax lines and via Ethernet to your router's Ethernet LAN ports (though not necessarily directly) TiVo Minis can network via either Ethernet or MoCA
Spectrum and MOCA - TiVo Community Forum
Nov 22, 2022 · A MoCA filter doesn’t so much block “MoCA” signals as all signals within the filter’s stop-band; so a MoCA filter at the cable signal point-of-entry will continue to keep one’s MoCA signals inside the home and neighboring MoCA signals out, but it will also impede or block any DOCSIS 3.1 signals above 1002 MHz.
Mesh WiFi or MoCA? - TiVo Community Forum
Nov 20, 2018 · According to Motorola, bonded MoCA 2.0 typically has better speed, latency, reliability, and security than WiFi. Also, WiFi capacity is freed up so your WiFi devices can enjoy more wireless bandwidth for increased speeds. I recently installed a Motorola MoCA 2.0 bonded adapter for my gateway and another one for an HTPC in the bedroom.
