Jun 29, 2022 · The better way to deal with the crisis is just not triggering it. You can get the 3rd reform pre AoR, and for the 4th reform, get ~0.4 ticking mandate (half state prosperity, OPM in china for unify china, tribs, etc.) and wait for a +mandate event.

Aug 3, 2023 · Ming’s king was originally a 1/1/1 with something close to a 0/0/0 heir. With 1.35, the king remains the same but the heir has improved to a 3/3/4 - this is decent tbh. Continue chilling out on speed 5, turn your fort maintenance, army and navy maintenance down to 0 and count those ducats coming in.

With this you can give Ming bigger manpower/force limit and lower maintenance but debuffs like X-amount shock/fire damage receive and disable professionalism until you pass a reform to have standing army instead ...

Oct 12, 2019 · Ming has a solid economy, and nearly infinite manpower, which compensate its lack of strong forces, but as Chinese once did, Ming can overrun a country with sheer numbers. The downside is, Ming lack any actions early game. It's pretty boring in my experience. You just colonize and vassalize, hardly any wars.

My previous games were mostly the "start small go big" type, like Holland to Netherlands or Tabarestan to Persia. But as Ming you already start with a huge-ass empire.

Sep 16, 2023 · Once the first war is done take what you need and the maximum amount of cash and at that point you should be able to truce reset by declaring on a ming tributary. I find that after that combo of wars ming begins to explode. Only after the second ming war will i take the emperor title and all 3 imperial cities with it.

May 24, 2014 · Just had a successful game as Ming. Remember to swap factions as appropriate. I normally kept the Eunuchs in power and swapped to the Temple when I was ready for war or the Bureaucrats when needed. Make sure to keep your prestige and stability up. Hit the Manchu's first (ally with Korea and try to cut them off from expanding up north).
