
Procedure to view dinos under a microscope | Reef2Reef
Feb 11, 2019 · I sort of remember the last time I had them I couldnt tell with the microscope. I have seen you tubes of these dinos that are swimming around and some are pear shaped ect. I couldnt get anything to look like that so I remember thinking it was the microscope and bought another and still couldn't tell what was going on.

Jul 22, 2019 · After some bad time fighting dinoflagelates (confirmed by microscope analyses) last year, I decided to remove the sandbed this year. After 3 months without sand, i put back this portion, in a corner of the tank. After a month, the brown/red patches start to show up. This time I didn't analise it in the microscope so, I can't assure that's dino.

Amphidinium Dinoflagellate? Microscope pics - please confirm.
Jun 30, 2010 · Small cell amphidinium are more likely to be toxic, and move much more and faster under the microscope, and are better swimmers. They go into the water and can attach higher up in a tank. They are more likely to cause problems with coral, but they can also be targeted by UV, because of the same reason.

Dec 12, 2019 · Can you provide any additional information or observations about the Symbiodinium-like (Chrysophyte?) cells described in your ID guide? I definitely have a few patches that have developed in my sand bed. Under the microscope the cells are TINY (approx. 10 um) and motionless as you describe. They are embedded in a thick mucus.

I have 2x Neptune WAV 1x mp60 2x mp40. for reference I know if I use chemi clean I’ll get Dino’s. For now I think I may just ride it out. I’m using microbacter clean and blowing my rocks...
