Jan 28, 2023 · Well, I still use Mee6 and I'm slowly weaning off. Like most people are saying, YAG bot is the best so far. I also finally started playing around with programming my own bot. I'm all for paying for a service if I need it. However most people who are ragging on Mee6 are people like myself who remember when Mee6 first made its debut.

Oct 24, 2020 · Automoderation is best done by YAGPDB. It is highly customizable, but the bot is a ton more advanced than Dyno and Mee6. Mee6 should really only be used for leveling. Dyno is better than both bots for logging. I recommend getting YAGPDB for moderation/automoderation and Dyno for logging.

So i purged it in December. got the new bot setup had it take over the functions, made sure they worked for a couple weeks and then removed Mee6. and honestly the new system is easier for me anyways. PS2: This question can't be solved by just looking to top.gg because I'm looking for a specific bot wich can do that transfer and in top.gg they don't specify that.

Jun 4, 2020 · I use MEE6 for level-up, groovy for music, and Carl-bot for general maintenance (deleting messages) and making reaction roles. I think less is more for this type of thing because having a billion bots, while that may look good on your member page, you could only have about ten or twenty people.

Dang, I thought botlabs was just meant to be a free hosting provider for bot devs (kind of like Fosshost). Carl bot was a really good bot a few years ago and I recommended it over MEE6. In the servers I'm in we mainly use Robotop bot and bots made by developers within the servers (including me), but Robotop bot is shutting down soon.

But in general, if it's just some basic moderation, small utilities, giveaways, etc. what you're looking for, creating your own bot is an awesome idea.

That's correct - and I did specify that the bot neefs administrative permission only for moderation purposes. The main concern is, all bots create a role based off a webhook with a permission integer that the bot developer puts. Majority (or all) bots malfunction when the role's permissions are tempered with, because they are linked to a webhook.

Jan 6, 2024 · I'm unsure if this will work, but have him create a throw away server, move Mee6 to that server, transfer ownership of the throwaway server to you, then leave server.
