Aug 27, 2022 · The only major issues with these Mazda 3s are rust in areas where salt is used on the roads (please get it checked out thoroughly) and the passenger side motor mount. Rust is nearly impossible to fix, while the motor mount is an easy repair.

Nov 14, 2023 · The only computer module to have known issues on the 3 is the TCM transmission control module on this generation. It’s more due to age than anything else, it’s mounted on top of the transmission mission and the heat cycle cause this module to act up. Can be repaired for about $400 plus labour if you are not handy
