Feb 16, 2025 · Sure! In Non Sport Mode, I hammered down into a U-turn to get on the freeway. In 2024, Mazda added 5 HP to the 2.5L N/A and with the 3 Hatch being 400lbs lighter than my old CX-5, I was very happy. Coming back we flipped into Sport Mode and that sealed the deal for the N/A FWD. The Mazda traction control works almost as well as limited slip.

Jan 28, 2015 · the car (mazda 3 2004, 2.3L, 90000miles) started making strange noise in idle and low RPM. I changed oil (as I do every 5000miles), tested AC on/off while set on cold/hot but the noise does not change. I do not observe any change in car's performance. It sounds like coming from engine head or the back of it but do not know for sure.

Another thing I noticed is increased fuel consumption alongside (without regen happening) 90 km/h Cruise control - ~6L/100km 120 km/h Cruise control - ~8L/100km

Jun 4, 2019 · So did my mazda 5, with the 2.5l engine. However if the intake manifold is the same set up, as it sounds like it is similar enough, the middle bottom bolt is a pain. However was able to remove it and get it back in using gentle touch and tape. As for oil consumption being reduced, too early to tell just yet.
