Oct 27, 2017 · Before I bought my 2017 Sport in May, I researched the crap out of the MK7's. I still have a perfectly good MK5 GTi w/TSi motor (85k miles), but the more I read about the Mk7, the more I decided it was time for a new car. My girlfriend drives my MK5 currently.

Dec 24, 2021 · The plaid seats are the real reason I chose the GTI. The S had the smaller screen but came with car play for 7.5 and the SE/autobahn had the larger screen. I was simply pointing out that looking at the screen size not a good indicator of trying to determine if one has a 7 or 7.5.

Aug 14, 2018 · My Mk 7.5 R wagon was built in June 2017, but is classed (by VW) as a MY18. It arrived in Australia in September 2017. IIRC the US received the Mk 7.5 R update well after other countries. I thought all Mk 7 & 7.5 Golf Rs had a drive mode button (next to the shift lever, allowing you to choose between Eco, Comfort, Normal, Race & Individual modes).

Apr 23, 2020 · I have a 2016 GTI SE with Performance Package and DCC. I've had it about a month and I love it, but I'm concerned about the gas mileage I've been getting. Tracked with Fuelly, I tend to get an average just under 26 mpg. My friend meanwhile bought a damn near identical car, also a 2016 GTI SE with Performance Package, just no DCC.

I have a mark 7 GTI (2017). It's IE stage 1 tuned. I'm looking for spark plugs but I've read some horror stories about tips breaking off and ruining destroying the engine. Specifically I've read in other groups that the RS3/RS7 spark plug (06k-905-601-M) broke off and destroyed the engine. So does anyone have plug recommendations? Thanks
