Maglubiyet made a deal with some demons or something for a ton of soldier and then betrayed them by keeping the soldiers and not paying. There's a Volos monster that is like a demon that hunts goblins because of this.

Maglubiyet is the god of war and rulership, and became the god of all goblinoids by murdering (or in 1 exception subjugating) the rest of the goblin pantheon. This is a very important aspect of Maglubiyet and Goblinoids in general that a lot of people overlook.
